Beauty Guide: Exfoliator

exfoliators Exfoliators, the next step in our skincare routine. They are extremely important and should be used once a week after you cleanse. Using an exfoliator helps other products absorb into your skin, it stimulates the production of collagen and loosens debris in clogged pores. It should be applied all over the face, making sure you do not forget about your neck and always make sure you focus on your nose. Your nose is such an important feature of your face and can contain many blackheads, so give it a good clean. Also, using an exfoliator to lightly scrub your lips can remove dead skin and leave them feeling super soft, just make sure you apply a lip balm afterwards and please do not get it into your mouth as it doesn't taste that great.

Indeed Labs Facial Powdered Exfoliator - £18.99

Our first exfoliator is quite different to a normal scrub, it is a water activated powder. After you have cleansed, you mix the powder with a little bit of water and rub it into your face in circular motions and it creates a foam. I loved this as it felt like I was performing a science experiment when I was in the bath. It tingles slightly but my face felt so smooth and soft afterwards. I have really sensitive skin and this product did not irritate in the slightest. Just make sure you pour out the powder slowly. I made the mistake of tipping out half the bottle on my first use.

Rodial Super Acids x-treme hangover mask - £45

Putting 'Acid' in the name of a product might scare some people, but honestly it is a good thing. This exfoliator is more of a face mask than a scrub, you leave it on for around five minutes and let it do its magic. I have quite the collection of Rodial products and I use them when my skin feels really run down and lacking life. When you apply the mask, avoid contact with your eyes but apply it to your whole face. Once it has dried, use your fingers to gently rub off the mask and then was your face. If you need a deep clean then this is your dream product. It is quite pricey but you will not regret it when you see the results afterwards.

B Men Charcoal Face Scrub - £3.49

This is one of those rare products that proves you shouldn't discount something  because it is cheap. Suitable for all skin types, you can even use this products daily as a light scrub. It is also fantastic if you need a deep cleanse, just scrub a little harder and leave it for a couple of minutes to absorb into your skin. It contains charcoal, which absorbs any impurities in the skin and helps reduce breakouts. A perfect all-rounder. If you want great skin on a budget then make sure you pick this up.

Thank you for reading and I hope this has helped you learn a couple of things about exfoliators.
