Artis Digit Collection / by plasticloafer

Welcome back to my blog and my first post of 2017! I hope you all had a lovely new year and an amazing holiday season. Artis have been my favourite makeup brush company for about two years now. Ever since I purchased the original Elite Oval 10 from Space.NK back in 2015, I have been obsessed with their application of product and ease of use. They have recently come out with a new collection where the brushes are based on the shape of a human finger. This did sound a little strange at first, but your finger is the perfect shape to apply makeup and if you are someone who doesn't have a brush set then this would be the perfect starter kit for you.

Unfortunately with this specific collection, you can't purchase the brushes individually. So a 5 piece set will set you back $185.00 on their official site. You do have the option to buy the full 10 piece set for $375.00 and a different 5 piece set with a lovely little stand will cost you $225.00. As with all other Artis brushes, you are getting the 'CosmeFibre' bristles which won't absorb liquid products.

The set that I have is the 5 piece collection, which contains the;

  • Digit Oval 6 - For foundation, contouring, concealer
  • Digit Oval 4 - For concealing hard to get areas
  • Digit Oval 3 - For blending concealer around the eye
  • Digit Circle 1 - For lip products
  • Digit Linear 1 - For brows and the lash line

You also receive a lovely travel case with slots for each brush and a mirror inside.

Having used the brushes for about a week now, I can safely say that I haven't put them down. I normally go into hard to reach areas with a damp beauty blender but the Oval 3 is perfect for that and it gives such a soft airbrush finish. I have also noticed that I am getting a higher coverage from my foundation because all the product is going straight onto my skin and isn't being absorbed.

If you are in the market for a new brush set, and want to take your application to the next level, then this is the perfect collection for you. The price is quite high, but that can be easily justified when you try the brushes. You will see how premium they are, how flawlessly your makeup is applied and I promise that you will never reach for a different brand.

Thank you so much for reading and I hope to see you all again soon for a new post!
